Columbia State Park

The 257 Stairs I went down with Ronin in my arms and then then climbed them right back up. My husband took the short way down and repelled.

-----

Today we had a family day and we went to the Columbia State Park. It was a long ride there and back but we made it and it was fun. Below are some photos of some of the highlights of the day.

Ardenwood Park Portraits

Today I got to do a fun session of these two twin girls. My goal was to capture the interaction between these two sisters. There were lots of different portraits that I would love to share with you all but I selected these portraits to share.

Something New...

Something new and exciting I am happy to offer right now is change of background after the portrait has been taken. The benefit of this is that I can now offer more choices in different backgrounds that normally I could not all have ready and available during the session. We can take a portrait on a white background and then add the background of our choice later. We can even zoom in on a portrait and create an entire new image. Check out a before and after below of an image I just did for my little model Marina. I zoomed in on the portrait touched her small finger that was poking out and changed the background.

Happy Mothers Day

A Poem For Moms

  • She was there at the beginning when the world was new to you - She was there through out the happy times and during those when, you were hurt or blue.
  • She was there to listen to your thoughts and when you asked, to give advice, She was there to tell you, \"Those don\'t match!\" Or, \"Hon, you sure look nice.\"
  • She was there with you at nighttime to help you say your prayers She was there to tell you, \"It\'s alright.\" When you had a dream that scares.
  • She was there at morning time to get you up and out of bed
  • She was there when you didn\'t feel good (or did) To say, \"You\'d best stay home, instead.\"
  • She was there when you were hungry And when you had those dirty clothes
  • She was there when you needed her (How she knew? Only heaven knows.)
  • She was there at the beginning And she'll be there your whole life through, she'll be there in your mind and heart Just like a mother is supposed to do.

Newark Community Center Kite Day

We happened to drive by the Family Kite Day event over at the Newark Community Center and of course I had to go grab my camera. We got there as it was ending so I didn’t get to take many photos but here are a few I took of this huge bear kite. Ronin had a lot of fun looking at this giant kite.
