Indoor Portraits

We stayed indoors today and did some fun 6 month old portraits. I really like 6 month portraits usually babies can sit up and we can capture them playing with different things. Here are some images from this session from last Friday.

Outside Portraits

Today was such a warm day I took portraits of these 14 month old twin boys and their 5 year old brother. The boys didn't really feel like taking pictures but we still managed to get some of them. Here are some images from today.



This was so cute I was trying to take a portrait of the older boy and of course because we didn't want the 2 little boys in the picture they had to come say hello to their big brother and go right in front of the camera.

San Francisco Bridal Shoot By Golden Gate Bridge

I got to go and 2nd shoot with a few of my friends Ed, Jeff and Monica. They are such a fun crew to photograph with. It was a really windy day and we got to do a a small hike getting to our spot we wanted to shoot at but it was worth the short work out. :-) Here are a few images from the shoot.

Millers Baby and Child Photo Contest Round One Winner

Las Vegas WPPI 2008

I have been away for one week. I went to WPPI in Las Vegas. WPPI is a photographers convention where we get to learn new things and see all kind of new products. I stayed at the Ballys Hotel and I spent most of my time there and in Paris. I did get to venture out to a few other hotels during time off from the convention and met other photographers and we had lots of fun. Here are a few images from my trip.

Congratulations to Liba and Joshua

On Sunday I photographed the marriage of Liba and Joshua. It was in a beautiful location over at Nestldown in Los Gatos. It was a beautiful warm day we could not ask for more. I really enjoyed watching everyone doing the traditional dancing and I even got to meat and speak in Slovakian to some of the guests. :-)

In Each qualifying round, the top five winners will be selected from the four categories and will receive a studio sample of their winning image. These winning portraits will be entered into the Final Round, which takes place during the month of July. The Final Round will be judged online by a panel of esteemed photographers.

First, Second, and Third places, as well as two Honorable Mentions, will be announced for each category! Cash prizes for these winners include $2,000 for First, $1,000 for Second, $750 for Third, and $500 for each Honorable Mention. One portrait from the Final Round will also receive the highest of accolades -- Grand Prize Winner. The cash prize will be $5,000 for this lucky winner! All cash prizes will be given to the families of the winning portraits.

Categories for this year’s contest include: Color, Black & White/Sepia, Special Needs, and Humorous.

Deadlines for the different rounds are:

• Round 1 (March): Post Entries – March 1 – 21. Vote on Entries – March 22 – 31.
• Round 2 (April): Post Entries – April 1 – 21. Vote on Entries – April 22 – 30.
• Round 3 (May): Post Entries – May 1 – 21. Vote on Entries – May 22 – 31.
• Round 4 (June): Post Entries – June 1 – 21. Vote on Entries – June 22 – 30.

Rules: Children, infant through age 12, are eligible. Images must be taken by Great Fx Photography between now and May 31, 2008.

San Jose State University
